Sometimes it’s cold in the apartment in Berlin. Galila doesn’t live here officially, but it’s her kingdom and she got used to the temperature long ago. Sophie Gmeiner captures the young woman on grainy Super 8 film, classically, in black-and-white. Galila sews, enjoys being alone. She has dreams. An intense and yet playful portrait in which lots of hues are discernible.
