The camera leads us into a living room, into a life story, told purely in visuals. Seamlessly, shifting in and out of focus, the camera pans the bookcases and pillboxes. In the background, the steady ticking of the clock and an affectionate exchange with the aunt, whose story we attempt to glean between shots. Friedl is an intimate portrait dealing with the notion of time, as it passes and lingers.
