A contemporary remake of one of the most important classics of cinematic history: Fritz Lang’s M – Eine Stadt sucht einen Mörder from 1931 set in 2018. Vienna, in the middle of winter. Children disappear. At first, without a trace, but then their bodies are found. For the tabloids, a feast; for the police, a series of defeats. Politically, a problem and at the same time, the long-awaited chance for the ambitious interior minister. The underworld becomes engaged. The children’s murderer must be found, so that all of the other dirty business can go on undisturbed.
