Giacomo Puccini's tragic opera “La Bohème” comes to the screen starring the celebrated opera duo Anna Netrebko and Rolando Villazón. Shot in Vienna by director Robert Dornhelm, La Bohème tells the complex love story of the romantic poet Rodolfo and his beautiful consumptive neighbour Mimi. Dornhelm is searching for the symbiosis of music and film, and ultimately finds a close relationship between opera and cinema which finds its expression in the moving performances of the actors.
