Clara Trischler uses narrated memories and Super 8 fragments from her grandparents’ private archive to reconstruct the chronicle of her Slovakian family. Her grandparents lived in Pakistan, Kenya, and Austria in the 1960s and 1970s — but in the political confusion of the Prague Spring they had to choose between personal freedom and a reunion with the family members who had stayed behind. An endearing ode to humanity and historical awareness.
