A crocodile is lost in a flooded cistern in southern Iran. Without help it has no way of getting out. The animal naturally sees the two rangers as a threat, not a rescue. A paradoxical fight between man and beast ensues. Allahyari portrays an unusually respectful struggle for power that is full of suspense and humor: sacrificial and arduous.
