Bright beams of light move in pathways barely discernible through the darkened film frame. The feel is abstract, digital somehow. And yet we are confronted with a concrete, analog construction: window sashes rotate on hubs, overlapping and concealing each other, causing a blur. With the barely noticeable retreat of the camera, one begins to notice a soft play of glass reflections. What is film? What is it capable of?
