A drawn hand with four fingers: Mickey Mouse. Well-known, yet unfamiliar, distorted. The hand fumbles, the hand rubs. The rest of the body remains black at first. Then comes the mouth, wide open. It snores, it whistles – almost obscene: Martin Arnold dismantled the otherwise daunting, well-oiled machine of Mickey into a trampling loop. By doing so, he just might have robbed the tame cartoon icon of its innocence.
