Cinema’s intoxicating impact is are habitually evoked when it comes to avant-garde filmmaking, the more so as its formal innovations can produce euphoric and trance-like effects. Since the ecstatic possibilities would otherwise be endless, the program of experimental shorts in our series focuses exclusively on films related to alcohol and inebriation, mixing canonized classics with more unusual and lesser-known works of alcoholic (self-)experimentation.
