The program brings together several early works, such as Jessica Hausner’s never before screened short Ich möchte sein manchmal ein Schmetterling, her final project for the film academy, Inter-View, and two music videos for the band Attwenger, thereby making clear the extreme precision with which music is applied in Hausner’s films. Hausner’s first premiere in Cannes in 1999 set the course for her international career, in the same year she founded the production firm coop99 with Barbara Albert, Antonin Svoboda, and Martin Gschlacht.
