“Cool job abroad, training a few chicas,” says Sarah. The foreign country is Jordan, the job is sports lesson, the chicas are three semi-motivated sisters who are kept in a gilded cage by their older brother. Kurdwin Ayub designs a game of deliberate confusion between latent and manifest patriarchal violence and liberal, western ideals that prove to be far less resilient when exported to the Middle East.
